Three Girls Farm was established in 2018. It began just like our plant starts: with a seed. An idea. A dream. Mostly: a love of trees and plants. We seek to provide a little shade, some sustenance, and a bit of beauty to all our friends and neighbors in Central Oregon. We simply love growing pretty things!
Drawing from a background of agriculture: hazelnut orchards and farming on one side of the family, and cattle ranching and hay on the other – Three Girls Farm is born from a generational Oregonian love of the land. Growing beautiful things in a harsh desert environment isn’t easy, but it’s worth it.
Three Girls Farm focuses on ornamental and shade trees, seasonal LIVE Christmas trees (plant one and start your family’s tradition!) and vegetable and flower plant starts. ALL of our tree seedlings are sourced locally from the Willamette Valley and around Oregon. Our vegetable and flower starts are nearly all heirloom and organic, promoting sustainable farming. Our Chief “Crunchy” Officer, Mallory, would have this no other way.
We start from the ground up: using quality organic material sourced on-site for compost, blending our own potting soil, and using sustainable open-pollination heirloom seeds. We focus on plants that can thrive in the high desert climate: Douglas Fir and other native conifers including Ponderosa Pine; along with Japanese Maples and other deciduous shade trees suitable for our growing zone. Our vegetable and flower seeds are ALL grown from seed on the farm.
The inspiration for Three Girls Farm are our three beautiful daughters. Oregon girls. Farmers. The exponential growth of Central Oregon will need to see a renewed interest in planting trees and landscaping in order to keep it beautiful! We welcome our newest Oregonians. We wish to pass along to them a colorful and clean-air Central Oregon.
